EARLY 90S STREET GRAFFITI: KROOK TFV · SHAFT · PLUTO · TRAKE

Came across this pic on Facebook. I could be mistaken, but I believe this is some early 90s street graffiti by KROOK TBK TFV, SHAFT, TRAKE RTD and PLUTO. This is my first time hearing of SHAFT but I’m sure he’s been in the mix since the beginning. On my block in the early 90s there were tags by KROOK TFV, SES DOG and SMITHSANE. That was my first time seeing those 3 legends up, and it was also my first time hearing of the TFV crew. For those who may not know, one variation of KROOK is “KROOKLYN”, since long before the Spike Lee movie, “Crooklyn”, was released. RIP to SES and SANE.

SUBWAY TUNNEL GRAFFITI: 2RAGE · FRITZ NAK

Another great subway tunnel graffiti shot with love from cousin Eddie. A 2RAGE tag and and a throw up by FZ NAK, both in chrome. For me, the classic FZ floater is symbolic of early 90s era graffiti on the streets of Brooklyn.

Happy new year, everyone! Here’s a short video from the team over at @graffcinema. The legendary FRITZ (FZ) putting a marker to some paper. Fritz bombed crazy hard – – from streets to subway tunnels to roof tops, and that is just the work that I saw with my own two eyes – – there was probably so much more that I never saw. #NAK forever!!
